Top Tier Opinions: I’ll be posting here now!

Hey guys, MasteR of LoL here. I am a ~2200 Elo player and I’m going to do a bit of posting on this site about my opinions on League of Legends.
Feel free to ask of my opinion on any questions LoL-related that you may have, and I will be posting again soon!

Is there such a thing as elo hell? It has been asked many times…
Also, do some good players get stuck in elo hell or those that deserve to be there?

There is absolutely an elo hell. Imagine you’re fresh to 30 start ranked and you.cant win because everyone on your team wants to jungle or solo top…rage ensues and the game goes downhill from there…..that is but a small example of the selfishness that exists in elo hell.

I’m not the pro, but the concept is pretty well founded from what I understand. MasteR of LoL probably has a better answer than that, haha.

Elo hell kind of exists. It doesn’t exist in the sense that you can’t get out, though.
Most people belong at or around their current elos. Elo is used to bracket people off, essentially, not determine whose better than who (Like, the number 1 rated solo queue player isn’t necessarily the best, they’re just in the highest bracket, along with the rest of the front page and so on).
I’ve had lots of people complain to me that they belong at a higher elo, and some of them do. Basically, it’s about carry potential. If you belong in the 1400′s, for example, but you’re 1100, you *should* win more games than you lose, and eventually get up to the 1400′s, but since your carry potential isn’t that great (being 300 elo off of where you belong), you may spend quite a bit of time lower than your actually elo (it works both ways, some people get carried and stay up for awhile, it then has the reverse effect).
I played on a 1200 ranked account and got it to up to 1400 without losing once (since my carry potential at 1200 elo is very high, since I’m 2000+ rated). By the same token, I’ve smurfed in the 1700′s and 1800′s and have played games that were unwinnable

Hey, what’s with the new Shyvana craze based on the tournament? She was not considered good before, and still seems to have a weak gank out of jungle even if she does jungle fast. Thoughts on her emergence in the meta?

It’s great to see footage of Aaron plyiang guitar (Clean Am I). I don’t recognize anyone in the photo. It looks like a Dutch coverband. But if I had to guess, it’d be Jeff Miller in the upper right. But I think it’s a gag.

I’ve won 900 normal games, and I feel that is so much easy positioning with carries like Caitlyn, somehow Kog and Graves. But the case is that I really enjoy playing Ashe, and she seems so fragile with her kit. Usually, to avoid death, I have to blow one summoner/ultimate, or even both and the ultimate.
Is it only positioning problem, character weakness or I’m just playing bad?
Also, I’ve been searching one tutorial like “How to kite”, because it’s extremelly important on Ashe, but it’s really hard the way I do.
Sorry for grammar mistakes

@nocturnum: I mean carry potential, as in how bad your teammates can be for you to still carry. Some champions also have higher carry potential for solo queue, than others and so forth. Essentially, if I’m playing at 1200 elo, I have a higher carry potential than the people that are actually 1200 elo. Thus my team has a higher chance to win. Changing what champion’s I play also affects carry potential [If I'm playing support, my carry potential goes way down, since support isn't as influential on the game (especially at lower elos) and I'm not the best support player].
Sorry for the long explanation, I tend to do that a bit, hope that clarified somethings.
@Anonymous: I didn’t watch much of the tournament (been a bit busy) and haven’t had much experience with Shyv, but I do see her as a champion that’s going to be picked more often. Her ganks aren’t that bad (specifically post 6), but I do see her being used more for her fast clearing and counter jungling ability (probably to bully weaker junglers). I’m not going to get too much into my thoughts on the current meta here, but I will make a new post about that (since I feel it deserves to be it’s own topic).
@Shemzahai: Ashe is among the more positioning dependent carries. She’s also more of a team support carry than a carry carry (if that makes sense). She’s best if used for her utility (global cc, perma slow, kiting ability, etc) rather than sheer force or dmg (i comparison to graves, corki, trist, pretty much all the other carries). With that being said, she’s better off in arranged teams, particularly more competitive teams. As of late, with more assassain-type champions being out, it’s increasingly difficult to keep Ashe safe and positioned well (which is why she fell off for tournaments), especially in the current meta. Another issue with Ashe is the flash summoner spell, which makes positioning even more difficult (you have to accommodate for flash range when dealing with kiting). IMO, she’s better in specialized comps, that revolve around kiting and in arranged play especially.

If you read the archives (and this is one of the more re-readable coimcs), you will see that the bat was trying to draw him into the comic even before Max could fully see spirits.I believe Isabel is in the foreground, so the bat’s actions aren’t something spectrals can just sense.

Thanks for your time, Master. What are your thoughts on TSM moving to EU West for a more competitive environment?
