Community Spotlight: Pro Players Are People Too

Community Spotlight is a daily blog that searches the breadth of the internet to bring you a new community creation everyday! The selections range from pro-play to cosplay so prepare for something different and entertaining with each day!
Diehard sports fans can tell you the ups and downs of their teams, who was swapped in and out, and when they last won a major tournament. However, due to the money earned and the skill required, it doesn’t take much for hateful shouts at the TV or from the stands. E-Sports works in much the same way, and we’re just as quick to condemn them.
In a game like League of Legends, where emotions run high, it’s easy to lose control and lash out. Whether you’re a seasoned vet or a player just trying to get better, at some time or another, you’ve likely raged. NintendudeX, a professional LoL player for Team Dynamic, recently learned firsthand the toll that it can take on you, not only as a player, but also as a person.
While no stranger to rage himself, even earning an Urban Dictionary entry about his behavior, one must keep in mind that until recently, he was still in high school. E-Sports fans can be pretty fickle, loving you when you’re riding high, but hating you when you’re not your best. During a losing streak, he happened to look over at his stream chat, and began to crack.
It’s hard to believe that at his age, a game could raise his blood pressure while causing extreme anxiety. However, the practice schedule, tournaments, scrims, streaming, and everything in between, such as the DDoSing, would be rough on anyone. Also keep in mind that he’s fairly new to the competitive team, so he probably hasn’t learned how to deal with these reactions.
I suppose the point of all of this is that we’re sometimes a little too hard on our favorite teams. In the process, we could be breaking them physically and mentally as well. Would we want to be treated that way ourselves?

Hey LoLReport,
Don’t you guys have a news feed I can subscribe with my feed reader? I always miss your news because of that.
If you do, can you give me your feed or atom link?
Best Regards

I looked for the RSS link, but couldn’t find it. However, you may not realize that all WordPress.org blogs have a built-in feed. It’s domain.com/feed. Therefore, this would be http://lolreport.com/feed/. Hope that helps!

/ I played 5 rouds of the Medal of Honor beta Team Assault’ mode last night andI’ve proabbly calmed down enough to type now hopefully.Considering it’s a beta they still have a long way to go yet to make themultiplayer game actually play well, which is a worry. Essentially MoHmultiplayer Team Assault’ mode is just a cut down version of Battlefield BadCompany 2, but without the redeeming/interesting features of BFBC2. The feelof movent in the game, sound effects graphics quality etc is exactly the sameas BFBC2. The only Team Assault map Kabul City Ruins’ (only one in the betaso far) is a lot smaller (think Modern Warfare 2) the scenery can’t bedestroyed (think Modern Warfare 2) and there are no vehicles (think ModernWarfare 2). There are killstreaks (think Modern Warfare 2), but thekillstreaks don’t appear customisable. The main problem I have with MoH is theaiming system: it’s clunky, unresponsive and doesn’t feel accurate. When in a direct firefight with another player I think the game performs a DICE’ roll to determine who wins and who loses which can be very, VERY frustrating. Grrrr!

Hi. Put meta kyerowds in each of your pages. Put kyerowds inside your content but be careful not to overdo it. Put kyerowds maximum thrice inside your webpage content.
