Hey there, brave Summoners!
Today I wanna talk about the new patch, and there’s so much to say! I dont want to make this a huge post, where I have to add a “tl;dr” at the end, so I’ll try to outline the more important things.
First, the new champion joining the Fields Of Justice: Ziggs, the Hexplosives Expert! This new guy is such a blast to play (ok, sorry, i won’t do it anymore!) ! I still hadn’t had the chance to play him, but from what I could see in the spotlight/another videos on youtube, he has an incredible burst (last time I do this, I promise!)! Ziggs has a great poke for laning phase and his ult can really turn the tides on a team fight. His other two skills are great, but require a certain level of skill from the player to be used effectively. In general, he seems like a great carry, but it’s needed time to learn how to play him. Oh, and this bouncing mechanic is just too cool!
Moving on, let’s talk a little about a certain blind monk. Since the patch preview, I’ve seen a loot of people saying things like “ZOMG! RIP LEE SIN! I HATE YOU RIOT!”, but did this people really thought about the change or are they just saying it because their favorite jungler was nerfed? Sure, no one likes to see one of his main champions been nerfed, and I disagree with Riot’s polictics of “X champion is doing his job too well? Let’s nerf him, instead of giving some love to the others of the same role!”, but c’mon, you can’t say Lee Sin is now trash because of this new changes. Good players will still be good on Lee Sin, and average players will have to practice a little more in order to be good junglers.
Now, just a little word on Jax. I think his rework was nicely done, his new counter-strike was okay, and this new patch changes came to make Jax very good pick. I mean it, 25% AoE damage reduction is serious business, along with the reduced cooldown, increased duration and the option to active the stun manually, you Jax player has nothing to complain!
Enough of champions, let’s talk about items: Zeke’s Herald. Some of you may be a little sad with the absence of Stark’s Fervor, but it’s not like it was a must-have item, compatible with every AD build. At least this new item will be a more usefull situational pick for supporters.
Still on items topic, we have a brand new item: Locket of the Iron Solari! A new upgrade choice for you Heart of Gold, my dear supporter! A fairly good choice for those times when the slow of Randuin’s Omen isn’t needed. The only down side is the too little shield absorption…
Last but not least, my favorite part: the new Co-op versus AI! Many of you are probably saying “whatever, the are just bots…”. Yes, they are, but now, when you buy a new champion and want to test him before a real game, it will be much more fun! Have you ever thought about a Karthus that can keep a watch on his enemies hp the entire game and kill the poor guys on low health? A Malzahar that activates his Zhonya’s Hourglass when heavily focused on team fights? I know, any good player should be able to do this kind of things, but now bots do it too! You know it’s cool! And now there are 40 bots! FORTY! Enough with the same team on EVERY game! Taric, Shen, Renekton, Soraka, Annie, I won’t miss you, guys!
